Lahore-Islamabad Motorway (M2) Toll Tax Rates Increased by National Highway Authority (NHA)
Starting from August 26, a series of new taxes have been enacted along the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway (M-2), which will persist for the upcoming 12 months.

In the latest rate adjustments, the toll fees for various types of vehicles have been revised. Notably, the toll for cars has been increased by Rs 3.7 per kilometer, raising it to Rs 1100. For wagons, the new toll stands at Rs 1840.
The fare structure for different vehicles has also seen adjustments. Traveling on a coaster will now cost Rs 7.22 more, bringing the new toll to Rs 2,590. Similarly, coaches will incur an additional toll of Rs 10.29, making it Rs 3,690.
For those with trailers, the toll tax specifically on the Lahore-Islamabad motorway has been significantly raised to Rs 6,170, as explicitly communicated in the notification.
To break down the changes:
- Car/Jeep toll: Now Rs 1,100
- Wagon toll: Now Rs 1,840
- Coaster fare: Now Rs 2,590
- Coach toll: Now Rs 3,690
- Truck toll: Now Rs 4,800
- Trailer toll: Now Rs 6,170
These revisions are effective immediately from the mentioned date and will be maintained for the next year. This update aims to reflect the evolving financial landscape of the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway.
