Iran Offers Pakistan To Buy Oil, Electricity, And Gas At Cheap Rates

Iran has once again extended an offer to Pakistan, their neighboring Islamic country. They’re proposing to sell petrol, electricity, and natural gas to Pakistan at affordable rates, similar to the deal Pakistan has with Russia.

In an exclusive interview with a private television channel, Mohammad Ali Hosseini, the Iranian Ambassador, emphasized that the offer still stands. He mentioned that Pakistan has the option to engage in the trade of petroleum products whenever it deems suitable. Furthermore, Iran is fully prepared to supply Pakistan with as much petrol as required.

Notably, the Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline project has reached completion on Iran’s side. This means that Pakistan can now avail itself of the opportunity to purchase natural gas at economical prices.

Ambassador Hosseini disclosed that Pakistan currently acquires 100 Watts of electricity from Iran. He also revealed that Pakistan has expressed interest in procuring additional electricity from Iran, all at favorable rates.

In terms of the overall trade volume between the two nations, Ambassador Hosseini acknowledged its existing low level. However, he expressed optimism about the potential for growth. He highlighted the prospect of boosting trade through the development of tourism. Iranians are keen on exploring Pakistan, including cities like Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and the northern regions. Simultaneously, Pakistani pilgrims continue to journey to Iran.
