Online registration for BISP in 2023 is now open
The head of BISP, Shazia Mirza, said that they will start registering people for the Benazir Income Support Program before the NSER survey. This survey will help choose families for the program. They are doing this because, in the past, some families were not registered even though they needed help. Now, due to prices going up a lot, people are really worried and can’t buy what they need every day.
NSER Survey New Registration
In the previous NSER survey, representatives from NSER visited homes and gathered information about people living there. They noted things like the number of people in a house, how many rooms the house had, how many earners there were, and their income. They also checked if the house was owned or rented. They asked about your family, like how many brothers and sisters you had, your expenses, and your income. This helped decide which families could get help from the Benazir Income Support Program. Families that needed financial assistance were then given help.
BISP New Registration Method
BISP, headed by Chairperson Shazia Murree, has introduced a new way to join their program. They’re redoing the NSER survey, and this time, even people who couldn’t join before and widows whose husbands have passed away can apply for the Benazir Income Support Program. Also, women who are divorced can now be a part of BISP.
In a recent meeting, they decided to make the NSER survey online. This is a great idea because now, even those who weren’t able to sign up before can do it online. You can also join by registering online. Just remember, the online registration process is really simple.
Here’s how you can register online for BISP:
- Visit the website 8171 and enter your details.
- You need your own ID card number and a mobile number linked to your ID.
- Once you fill out the form, click “submit.”
- You’re done! You’ll receive a message confirming your registration.
- Wait for a message to know if you’re eligible.
- You can also register from your mobile: send your ID card number to 8171.
- After they check, you’ll get a confirmation message.
- If you’re eligible, you could receive Rs 9000 monthly from the Benazir Income Support Program.
You will need the following documents to register for the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP):
- Your Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
- Birth certificates (B-Forms) for your children.
- Copies of your household electricity and gas bills.
The BISP program is meant for families with low income, and individuals who are widowed, divorced, or disabled. To be a part of this program, you need to meet certain conditions:
- You should be eligible to join, meaning you are in the target group of poor families, widows, and disabled individuals.
- You haven’t traveled by plane or have a passport.
- Your monthly earnings should be less than 20,000 rupees.
- You can’t be a government employee.
- You shouldn’t own any property in your name.
If you want to see if you can get help from BISP, follow these steps:
- Open your mobile’s messages.
- Type your ID card number.
- Send the message to 8171.
- Wait for a while.
- You’ll get a message saying if you can be in the program or not after they check.
